Dads Workshop with Kirsten Nottleson
In-Person, Nyack, New York , Sunday, August 3rd, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM US Eastern
$90 per person
This in-person workshop is for any parent who identifies as a father. This will be a great follow-up after Saturday’s half-day workshop, but it is not necessary that you attend.
It doesn’t always happen that dads get to gather to be with each other… specifically as dads. This workshop is a space for you guys! You’ll have time to talk about the challenges, the joys, the worries of being a father, time to appreciate how your family is thriving, and time to notice what you want.
Topics we’ll cover in this 3-hour workshop:
– What you want/ hope your role to be as a parent, and how it’s the same/ different than your father
– Dispelling the lie of Dad as the secondary parent
– Applying the Hand in Hand Parenting tools to build a more connected relationship with your child/ren and understand their (and your) behavior better
– How to muster the energy to engage when it feels like you just don’t have it
– What to do when children get aggressive (verbally or physically)
– Play, why it’s important, why it feels hard, competitiveness, and how to bring more play into your relationship with your child/ren
– Setting limits with respect and love
– Partnership… how’s that going?
“I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m so glad I found your class. It’s made a world of difference in the way that the kids and I interact.”
-Greg, father of three, Austin, TX
For parents of children aged infant through the teen years.
