Hi, my name is Ailee Dembo. I’m a parent educator with a Master’s Degree in Education and a Certification in Brain Based Research in Children Ages Zero to Three. I live in Los Angeles and have 25 years of experience working with parents and children in classroom settings. When I found Hand in Hand, I immediately recognized that it was an organized approach that pulls together all my knowledge in a simple yet comprehensive set of tools. This approachable framework has helped me better serve the families I work with.
When teaching parenting classes I would often gather information from the Hand in Hand website to share with parents. I also started using the tools with my own children and saw some incredible results. That inspired me to dive deeper into the program. I decided to sign up for the certification program in 2020.
Starting the certification program during COVID, I truly saw how powerful the tools were and how they helped our family through a difficult time. My son and daughter, at the time 10 and 13, were experiencing heightened anxiety. This led to many off-track behaviors. Using the Hand in Hand tools with them helped us deeply connect. This gave them a profound sense of security which healed some anxieties and their behaviors improved.
Now as a Certified Hand in Hand Instructor, I continue to teach parenting classes and consult with individual families both in person and virtually. I’ve never stopped using the tools with my own children, now 15 and 18, and am in awe of how they always provide support and connection regardless of a child’s age. I hope to share the Hand in Hand tools with as many families as possible. My goal is to help parents better understand their child’s behavior, gain personal confidence, and strengthen connections with their children.
